Lift Technician
Location: Dar es Salaam
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Lift Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair lifts, escalators, and moving walkways while ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. The role also involves identifying new business opportunities and supporting sales activities within the assigned region.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• Install and commission lifts, escalators, and moving walkways in accordance with technical specifications and safety standards.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, lubrication, and safety testing of installed equipment.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns, attend callbacks, and repair or replace faulty components.
• Prepare installation progress reports, maintenance reports, callback forms, and spare-parts requests.
• Ensure compliance with company health, safety, quality, and customer service standards.
• Identify new installation projects, potential clients, spare-parts requirements, and modernization opportunities within the assigned region.
• Support the Sales and Accounts teams through client follow-ups, payment reminders, and reporting market intelligence and sales leads.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
• FTC or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in lift installation, maintenance, or related projects.
• Strong teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work at heights and in different site environments.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and willingness to follow company safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and prepare accurate technical reports.
• Willingness to travel and work in assigned regions as required.
